Tickets can be bought at the station ticket machines, ticket office or through websites like NationalRail,  Trainline or any of the rail company websites. It is usually cheaper to buy tickets more than a day in advance.

From Newcastle Central station you can connect to:

• The Metro. After you pass through the ticket barriers, turn RIGHT.

• The Airport via the Metro.

• The North Sea Ferry terminal by bus.

• Local buses.

• Rental Cars. Offices are outside and to your LEFT.

• Taxis - the taxi rank is on your RIGHT as you leave the station.

• It is a 10 minute walk (uphill) to Grey's monument in the centre of the city.
