The historic county town of Northumberland. 

The medieval past is on show with the magnificent Alnwick Castle -  ancestral home of the Dukes of Northumberland. But in its grounds you'll also find the impressive Alnwick Garden with its fountain cascade with constantly changing displays.

The town itself is not to be missed, with ancient marketplace and lovely shops and eateries.

Harry Potter and Blackadder fans will recognise the castle as it has been used in a backdrop for these and lots of other films and TV shows.
